Dr. Severn Barloco is a board-certified general surgeon and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He brings over 15 years of surgical experience to his role as Bosley Houston’s lead hair restoration physician as well as his position in Bosley’s Columbus office. A Texas native, Dr. Barloco earned his medical degree and completed his general surgery residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, followed by a fellowship in minimally invasive surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.

Before joining Bosley, Dr. Barloco built an impressive surgical career, with advanced training in robotic and laparoscopic techniques. He has practiced in both private and group practice settings, treating complex trauma and performing high-precision procedures across Colorado and Texas. His background in minimally invasive surgery has been very influential to his approach to hair restoration— utilizing precision, aesthetics, and optimal outcomes.

Selected by Bosley’s Chief Medical Officer, Ken Washenik, MD, PhD, for his exceptional surgical skills and patient-centered care, Dr. Barloco joined Bosley to deliver Bosley’s exceptional hair restoration knowledge and surgical prowess in its Houston and Columbus offices.

Outside his surgical practice, Dr. Barloco is a devoted husband and father of four, sharing a bustling household with his wife, also a physician. In his leisure time, he enjoys golfing, skiing, and hiking, as well as following hockey and soccer. He finds relaxation in listening to audiobooks and maintains an active lifestyle through regular weightlifting, embracing a balanced approach to fitness. As a dedicated surgeon, Dr. Barloco engages with his field beyond the operating room by staying current with surgical techniques through educational videos and collaborative professional platforms.
