HairClub to Offer Coffee with a Cause in Partnership with NBA Hall-of-Famer Dikembe Mutombo’s Coffee Brand

December 8, 2022

BOCA RATON, Fla. PRWEB

When members and visitors come to HairClub, they’ll now be able to enjoy a cup of Mutombo Coffee, the brand co-founded by NBA Hall-of-Famer and Global Humanitarian Dikembe Mutombo.

As part of its Women in Coffee Initiative, Mutombo Coffee invests in the coffee-related assets of female coffee farms where their beans are sourced. Partnerships like the one between HairClub and Mutombo Coffee help support the efforts of African coffee farming communities to increase supplier diversity.

“Two of our core values are caring and collaboration, driven by passion and our mission’s initiatives, such as our own HairClub for Kids and Sanpo Yoshi, which means good for the company, client and community,” said Amy Hardman, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of HairClub. “We are very pleased to partner with programs like Mutombo Coffee which directly benefit women in business and their communities.”

By providing Mutombo Coffee as a refreshment option for guests visiting HairClub Centers, each time someone enjoys a cup of delicious Mutombo Coffee, HairClub will play a small role in helping women coffee farmers build profitable and sustainable businesses.

In 2020, Mutombo Coffee launched as a direct response to supply chain challenges in Africa exacerbated by Covid-19, in particular within the community of female farmers. Overall, they earn less income, own less land, control fewer assets and are offered fewer training and leadership opportunities than men. Mutombo Coffee established its Women in Coffee Initiative to help address these deep-rooted issues with targeted partnerships like the one with HairClub.

“We launched our brand with the intent to provide trading opportunities to export-ready African farmers,” said Mutombo Coffee President and CEO Robert C. Bush, Jr. “We believe our partnership will prove successful for both of our brands, and we are confident that this new collaboration will help us meet our mission to introduce HairClub members to some of the finest Arabica coffee from Africa’s coffee growing regions.”

HairClub is the leading provider of hair regrowth, replacement, and restoration solutions, helping more than 600,000 members in its 46 years of business. HairClub Centers will offer Mutombo Coffee to its members and visitors at more than 100 locations throughout the U.S. and Canada.

“Our unifying aim is to improve the well-being of African coffee farmers by offering their delicious, locally grown and harvested premium coffees to the world,” said Bush. “We are led by a deep desire to enhance the well-being of our global communities and seek to partner with organizations like HairClub that choose to join our mission by offering outstanding coffee to their networks.”
