Business Spans More Than Four Decades with Nearly 120 Locations
Successfully operating a business known for its innovation and customer service for more than four decades is an accomplishment worth celebrating. Since 1976, when Hair Club was first launched by Sy Sperling, the company has remained committed to a legacy of providing cutting-edge technologies and client satisfaction.
Hair Club's popularity and sustained longevity is indicative of how the organization has continued to fulfill a valuable niche. Changing lives of clients across North America, Hair Club offers proven hair loss solutions for women and men, including non-surgical hair restoration and hair regrowth options. Surgical hair restoration is offered through the affiliated physicians of Bosley Medical Group.
This year marks several noteworthy achievements for Hair Club, which now boasts nearly 120 locations throughout the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico.
Celebrating its 42nd anniversary this year, Hair Club has helped more than 600,000 men and women restore their hair and transform their lives. In addition, its parent company since 2013, Tokyo-based Aderans Co. Ltd., will mark its 50th anniversary in April.
"One of the reasons Hair Club has been a success for as long as it has is that we focus on who the client is, what the client values and how we can best deliver that value," said Lee Zoppa, Hair Club's Vice President of Marketing and Advertising. "More than four decades is a long time to remain a viable business entity. And we just keep growing."
Marking another milestone, Hair Club Houston is celebrating 35 years and has served as one of the longest-operating centers in the company. In commemoration, the Houston team will be hosting special client appreciation activities for six weeks starting in mid-February. On February 22nd, a carnival-themed event will be held in the center from 6:30-8:30p.m., including snack foods, games, prizes and a raffle. "I have been with Hair Club for more than 25 years, and at the Houston center for more than 16 years," said Melissa Oakes, Hair Club's Senior Vice President of Sales and Operations. "I am proud to work with such an experienced and professional team. We are close and consider our staff-and our clients-family."
Hair Club Houston is one of the largest centers continent-wide at 9,152 square feet. With 20 private styling rooms and 26 employees (18 of whom are stylists and 9 of whom have more than 10 years of service with the company), upwards of 1,200 clients are serviced per month.
Hair Club Atlanta Women's Center-the first of its kind in the U.S. and catering exclusively to women who are losing their hair-is celebrating its first year in operation. Located in northwestern Atlanta, the salon offers state-of-the-art services, including personalized hair restoration options and professional styling advice. Pampering, spa-like amenities such as massage chairs, manicures, pedicures and more are also on offer.
As Hair Club commemorates an array of major milestones and pivotal landmark anniversaries-the company is able to further its ongoing mission of providing proven hair loss solutions that offer real results. "Our customized options are tailored to fit every individual," said Zoppa. "We help men and women of every age and ethnicity, no matter how much or how little hair they have lost."
